I endorse the inlet rocker oil feed mod, my inlet rocker was very scored, the lubrication in this area is very poor without the extra feed. My rocker is away being resurfaced at the moment.

Wanted and For Sale / Inlet Rocker
« on: April 24, 2017, 11:05:03 am »
I need an Inlet Rocker, the face of mine has a deep groove from the valve stem. I have added the extra rocker feed oil line over christmas but the damage was already done) On top of this one of my valve guides was loose in the head  and the other is well worn, but a friend is making me two oversize guides so I can have the head sorted. If no inlet rockers are available can the facing be repaired ?

Thanks

I find mine really easy to start, the dynostart isnt really nescessary and lack of dynostart shouldnt put you off. Nice to have but not essential

I recently fitted some Wirth progressive fork springs but have gone back to a new  set of the originals. The wirths do stop the diving on the brakes but I preferred the ride on the originals. They were only in for about 300km cost £85.00 sell for £50.00 including delivery (uk only)

I also have a Guzzi screen and Craven panniers that were fitted to my civille before I owned it - open to sensible offers

I fitted an original style oil filter from an Aermachhi Sprint 250/350 today after finding a good one in the USA,  it was a perfect fit in the sump nut.

I bought this tool, perfect fit for the flywheel ringnut and the kickstart nut. I had to fit a new chain and  sprockets, with the laser tool and an impact wrench the whole thing was complete in less than 2 hours - top find

Mine currently has no filter at all, however I have an aermachhi sprint one coming  in the post, I think this is identical to the standard guzzi concentric plastic screen one. I changed the oil as soon as I got it, then again after 100km. The oil will get changed again and the filter fitted at 500km . I considered one of the external cartridge systems but didnt want to change  the looks  too much, so Im just going to change the oil every 1500 km  - my annual use is only about 1500km so Im happy with the standard system. I think I might renew the rocker box oil feed and drain hoses - the drain hose looks particularly shabby.

I might be temped to do the inlet rocker feed mod - but im loathe to change the look of the standard motor.

Im quite taken with the NF ............. far more so than I expected
