Nuovo Falcone custom
« on: November 12, 2014, 07:47:22 pm »
Hi Guys,
Well this is all a bit of an experiment.
This is my first effort to use a forum of any type.
I have tried (but I don't know if it is successful yet) to attach a couple of pictures of my new purchase.
EBay of course, an ex-Croation army 1971 N.F.
Now please forgive me guys but this is going to be a custom N.F.
I'm never going to create anything beautiful from a N.F. And so it will be called 'the Beast'
It now exists and has been ridden a few hundred miles in prototype form, and I love it!
At the moment the frame is at the spray shop, the saddle pan is at the upholster's and the brake back plates are at the polishers.
But in the Spring it will emerge again like a beautiful butterfly ! and so my efforts will not be in vain.
I will attempt to post more photographs very soon so that you can all 'tut tut' and say that a N.F. shouldn't be customised.
Of course you are right but, what a challenge ! and what a load of fun both to build and to ride.
More to follow soon.
Cheers
Tonya

Hello Tonya,
Welcome fellow NF rider.  Tut tut - of course, but hey, it's your bike to do with as you please.  I'm sure the legions of NF afficionados here will be interested to see your progress.  I know I will.  from the stone wall and the shed, I'm assuming that you're in the UK somewhere.  Perhaps I've seen the fairing and the panniers before?

So please do post pictures are you explore, abuse, improve and otherwise create the Beast.

Good luck

Nick

By the way Tony (and this is a really long shot) - you're not an MD are you?

Hi Nick,
Thank you for your kind comments.
Actually I'm in bonny Scotland and you may have seen the panniers and the screen running around on another bike.
Cheers

Ah yes - all becomes clear.  Those parts still look good.

The query about your occupation was, as I said, a stab in the dark.  I have a long-lost cousin Tony who is (or more likely was) a medical man.

Best

Nick

Nice job bruno !
Not extreme, just sophisticated.
You obviously have a talent for customising.
Well done.

I recognise those panniers, that fairing, and most of the other parts that reside in my garage...  ;)
There's going to be nothing left by the time you finish!
