New here
« on: August 12, 2016, 04:01:05 pm »
Hi All,
I've just bought a 1973 Neuvo Falcone to compliment my SP65 and other sundry petrol head bits and pieces.   I've had a look on the forum for the correct starting method but can't find anything.   Can anyone tell me or point me in the general direction?   This one has electric start (Dyno Start?).  By the way,  I'm in Laurencekirk,  Aberdeenshire.

Cheers

Ian

HELLO GLESCABOY,
WELCOME TO THE CLUB !
I WONDER IF IT WAS MINE ? I LIVE IN ANGUS AND SOLD ONE A FEW YEARS BACK. IT WAS GREEN (ISH !)
I FITTED AN ELECTRIC LEG AND PUT A STARTER SOLENOID IN THE TOOL BOX.
THE STARTING TECHNIQUE IS EASY.
PULL UP THE DE-COMPRESSION LEVER, SPIN THE ENGINE ON THE SELF STARTER UNTIL IT IT UP TO FULL SPEED AND RELEASE THE DE-COMPRESSION LEVER.
EASY PEASY !
IF IT DOESN'T START FIRST TIME SOMETHING IS WRONG !
NOT FORGETTING THE CHOKE OF COURSE !
I STILL HAVE A NUOVO FALCONE BUT IT IS A CUSTOM STYLE, VERY NON-ORIGINAL, BUT RATHER HANDSOME !

Hello Glescaboy,Welcome to the forum (looked at the facebook page?) Tonya has given you the procedure for the electric leg so I wont add to that but interested to see you are in Laurencekirk as Tonya and I are both in Angus and Banquo in Perthshire we could soon have the making of a local group! or at least meet up some Sunday morning !  - Moby Dick.

Welcome Glescaboy; if you can make it to Arbroath, there should be another Wee Smokey gathering at the Meadowbank before the year's out.
