Received my new clutch cable, fitted it and discovered that I really need to either get new handlebars, new levers, or both due to the nasty angle existing for the clutch and decompressor cables.  None of my handlebar furniture is original, which probably not helping.

Not at all OldeGoat; you just need some more practice!
There's a tutorial here: http://nuovofalcone.createaforum.com/general-discussion/linking-to-your-photobucket-pix/msg957/#msg957

Thanks, banquo. I've had a look at my PB pics and although  I posted a couple of the controls but they don't show what I'm on about.  Will go and take more in a minute!

I took some pics, but then I decided to try a pair of bars I took off my 750T, which looked a bit better, so I've fitted them.  I think they're ok but the decompressor lever isn't really suitable, as it's plastic, difficult to operate as it's directly below the clutch lever, and straightens out trying to overcome the valve spring.
Bottom line is I need to get a new set of levers to replace the crap that's on it.  Anyone got anything suitable? Not too bothered if they're not original - in fact I don't expect to get originals.

Levers shouldn't be too much of an issue, but lever brackets are a different thing altogether.
It will be easier if you accept that it won't be easy to get a combined clutch and decompressor bracket, because they're not common at all. If you substitute a standard metal lifter lever fitted to the bars, then any cable driven clutch/brake combination from that era should be fine, and you'll find replacements for Ducati or similar on eBay. Loads of Amal and Tomaselli copies out there. Unless you're one of those who starts by using the flywheel on the decompressor, you don't need one anyway. It's easy enough to ease it over compression without using the decompressor, so it's really redundant anyway.
